African Moto On October 23rd we are running a Companion Dog Show at Barnham Broom Village Hall, to raise funds for a local children’s group “African Moto” which desperately needs equipment to allow it to continue.
Last year the children learnt African Drumming on drums provided by the County Council, however due to funding withdrawal in the current economic climate, these have now had to be returned leaving the children “drum less!”. During the year the children used their talent to raise funds for children in Zimbabwe appearing by request at various events including The Lord Mayors Celebration, Norfolk show and many fetes. They raised approx. £1500 which provided the Zimbabwe children with school uniforms and other necessary items which enable them to attend school.
The children of African Moto would like to continue to support the children in Zimbabwe however they cannot do this without drums. If you would be kind enough to donate a raffle prize or give a small donation towards rosettes for the Dog show or failing this spread the word about the show to help us succeed and raise these much needed funds.
