Please note that unless we have recieved your application form and payment (either on line or via the post) your space will not be reserved.
Classes are held on a Monday and from 17th October these will be the new times for the classes
6.pm - 7pm Puppy/Starters
7pm - 7.45pm Class 2
Paws4Clix is taking a 'maternity break' from January to mid March 2012 when the classes will recommence. Dates/times will be announced on these pages. We hope to be doing more KCGCDS Assesments in the new year too Bronze & Silver, so keep up with the training!!
We offer a range of classes to suit all breeds, ages and abilities which are arranged in line with the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme.
Our classes are a little different to what you might expect...........we cover all aspects of responsible dog ownership and our aim is for you to have a well balanced, good mannered and well behaved canine friend.
Reception
For ALL new dogs and puppies
In this class we teach you how and when to use the clicker and why it is such a valuable tool for training your dog. We cover the basics like recall, sit, down, stand, loose lead walking and stay alongside life skills like
- Being groomed and handled
- Food manners
- Go to bed/mat
- Meeting and greeting humans and other dogs
- Road walk control
- Creating a lasting relationship with your dog
- Door & gate control
- Safe play
- Car safety
Class Two
Taking the training from Puppy/Starter class further, we will develop your skills to advance the basic behaviours such as longer length stay, starting leash free walking and understanding your dogs needs along with
- Party tricks
- Loose lead walking with distractions
- Obstacles
- Retrieving
- Recalls with distractions
- 'Vet' Visit
Clever Dogs
Now that you and your dog are learning quickly we need to keep up the pace! Still keeping a focus on the foundations we have laid we take the learning another step higher!!

Advanced
At this stage in your learning you and your dog should be working as a team. We will have lots of fun and games to expand your knowledge in how your dog learns and what motivates your dog!
